Mark Thompson, BSAE '94
1:00 - 3:00 p.m. | Professional Development Center (1207 Driftmier)
After graduating in 1994 with an Agricultural Engineering degree, Mark Thompson has spent twenty-five years working with and leading bright development teams designing and engineering many industrial and commercial products including human-interface computer workstations, ruggedized point-of-sale self-service kiosks, gaming equipment, lottery terminals, and other fascinating products - all within the metropolitan Atlanta area.
Along the way, Mark has published twelve US patents and has contributed to several product market awards. Mark has assembled the creative development necessities into a new book called “Simplified Development” which is intended to help engineers early in their careers navigate the complexities of business surrounding engineering teams.
During his entire collegiate tenure, Mark participated with the Redcoat Band. Recently, he enjoys traveling, running marathons, spending time with this family, and writing books. His most recent publication is called “The American Diamond” - s story explaining precisely how the United States federal government was engineered, and revealing a surprising effect of that development effort.
