Assistant Professor (Limited-Term)
Studies mechanisms that influence lung development and function
Uduak George is a limited-term assistant professor in the University of Georgia College of Engineering. She had her postdoctoral training at University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and at North Carolina State University. Prior to joining the UGA faculty in 2017, she served as an assistant professor of mathematics at the University of Louisiana-Monroe. Her research focuses on using mathematical and computational methods to study biological processes. She has developed computational models to study biological cell movement, calcium signaling in cardiac myocytes and lung morphogenesis. Her current research focuses on identifying the mechanisms that influence the development and physiological functioning of the lung.
