We’re excited to kick off our very first “I ❤️ UGA Manufacturing” celebration at the University of Georgia’s Manufacturing Living Labs this February 2026. Join us for an open house event that highlights how local manufacturing plays a vital role in boosting our local, regional, state, and national economies.

This event will spotlight innovative technologies that are shaping the future of manufacturing, with a focus on workforce skills and development. As technology makes big leaps and advancements in this industry, the “heart” of this event is to promote the importance of the human component and how to foster compassion in an AI-driven workplace.

The morning will start with guided tours of the University of Georgia Manufacturing Living Labs spaces, including the Innovation Factory and MODEL research labs, and Price Industries will be on-site with their Mobile Showroom for a demonstration of their customized engineering solution for air distribution and lighting designed for hospital operating rooms.

After the tours, a learning session will take place, focused on strengthening the workforce & economic development. The event will conclude with a keynote talk on “Leading with Compassion in Manufacturing,” given by retired CEO and Vice President of Honda North America, Tom Shoupe.
