The University System of Georgia (USG) has selected a faculty member in the University of Georgia College of Engineering for a new system-wide teaching and research program. Tim Foutz, a professor in the College of Engineering, is one of 10 faculty members chosen from institutions across the state as a USG Scholarship of Teaching and Learning Fellow.
The USG says the program is designed to foster a system-wide community of learners and to provide support while participants design and implement a classroom-based research project. The ten fellows will kick off the program with an orientation April 14-15, following the USG Teaching and Learning Conference.
The fellows will participate in monthly web-based meetings as they design, develop and carry out a research project during the 2016-2017 academic year.
