The Double Dawgs program was created to give ambitious and motivated students a competitive advantage in today’s knowledge economy. By earning both a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree in five years or less, students can save time and money while positioning themselves for success after graduation.
The College of Engineering offers twelve Double Dawg Programs:
- Agricultural Engineering – BS-MS (both thesis and non-thesis)
- Biological Engineering – BS-MS
- Biochemical Engineering – BS-MS
- Environmental Engineering – BS – MS Civil and Environmental Engineering with Environmental Engineering Emphasis (both thesis and nonthesis)
- Civil Engineering BS – MS Civil and Environmental Engineering with Civil Engineering Emphasis (both thesis and nonthesis)
- Mechanical Engineering BS – MS Engineering with Mechanical Engineering Emphasis (both thesis and nonthesis)
- Computer Systems Engineering BS – MS Engineering with ECE Emphasis
- Electrical and Electronics Engineering BS – MS Engineering with ECE Emphasis
These programs allow BS engineering students engaged in undergraduate research to complete 12 hours of graduate coursework during their final undergraduate semesters, graduate with a BS, then complete their research and coursework for the MS, receiving both degrees in five years.
