Jue and Winters receive UGA Presidential Award of Excellence

Matthew Jue and Kate WintersIn acknowledgement of their remarkable undergraduate careers, College of Engineering students Matthew Jue and Kate Winters were honored with the 2024 UGA Presidential Award of Excellence.

The Presidential Award of Excellence is awarded to undergraduate students in their final year of study who have demonstrated outstanding academic achievement, strong extracurricular involvement, and service to and involvement in their respective school or college. Students selected for this award exemplify the best of UGA’s undergraduate student body.

Matthew, a senior in computer science, and Kate, a senior in environmental engineering, both serve as College of Engineering Ambassadors. Their outstanding achievements were recognized by the College of Engineering at the Celebration of Excellence on April 2nd, and they were officially honored with the award at a luncheon hosted by the University on April 3rd.
