Why did you choose UGA Engineering?
I’m actually a second-generation Bulldog Engineer, so I luckily had family that introduced me to the college. I loved the collaborative and small-college feel that UGA engineering had. I think engineering is a hard enough major as-is without also feeling like you’re competing against your peers. Driftmier felt like a second home and everyone was always willing to lend a hand and work together to get through it together!
Favorite Memory as a Bulldog Engineer?
Anything to do with operating the shop equipment out back, but specifically, one of my favorite projects was building a spaghetti bridge in Dr. Durham’s class! I loved dreaming up designs and getting to test everyone’s ideas and learn the engineering behind them!
Favorite Class?
Definitely 8am Strength of Materials class with Dr. Thompson every day over the summer. Nothing gets your summer mornings started off quite like a Dr. Thompson lecture! I still quote some of his sayings to this day!
