Dr. Bo Li is a Professor of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Georgia and the principal investigator of the Hybrid Nano-Architecture and Advanced Manufacturing Laboratory (HNAM). He earned his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Northeastern University in 2013 and further refined his expertise during a postdoctoral appointment in the Department of Materials Science and Nanoengineering at Rice University. Before joining the University of Georgia, Dr. Li served as a faculty member at Villanova University for ten years.

Dr. Li’s work is supported by grants from the National Science Foundation, the PA Manufacturing Fellows Initiative, and private sector partners, highlighting the broad impact and industry relevance of his research. Dr. Li holds multiple U.S. patents and has authored more than 50 journal articles in high-impact publications such as Nature Nanotechnology, Nature Photonics, and Nature Communications.
