Pronouns: She/Her

Major: Biochemical Engineering

Hometown: Birmingham, AL

Class: 4th Year

Fun Fact: I am a huge watersports fan and am pretty darn good at wakeboarding and wake surfing.

Why did you choose UGA? Living in Birmingham, I grew up a huuuge Auburn fan. I went to a highschool where the majority attended Auburn or Alabama afterwards. For most of my life, I thought I would go to Auburn; however, in my later highschool years, I realized I didn’t necessarily want to go somewhere that majority of my classmates would be going. I began to tour all over, from Tulane to UVA, but was missing the feel of SEC schools. I eventually toured UGA and fell in love. It offered all the social aspects that a big, SEC school provides, but I could also sense the drive and academic focus that the school had as well. I appreciated the fact that UGA’s Engineering program was smaller than Auburn’s; I felt that I would thrive in a more connected, student-driven environment.

Favorite memory as a Bulldog Engineer? I always find myself looking back and laughing at all of my late night studying adventures in Driftmier or the Science Library. Sitting at a table surrounded by friends, drinking coffee after coffee, and growing delerious together always makes for great memories. You can really sense the community, support, and shared goals amongst the students at those times.
