G. Holmes Bell, IV, PE, serves as CEO and Chairman for ENR Top 500 and Top Southeast Design Firm, Hussey Gay Bell, founded in Savannah, Georgia in 1958. A native Savannahian, Mr. Bell joined the firm in 1994. Since then, he has expanded the firm’s presence to 160 engineers and architects in eight office locations across Georgia, South Carolina and Tennessee. The firm represents numerous governmental and private clients throughout the southeast and is working on a multitude of signature projects in the region including projects related to Hyundai Motor Group’s $5.5 billion investment project in Bryan County, Georgia slated to bring 8,100 jobs to the region.

A licensed professional civil engineer in GA, Mr. Bell holds two degrees – a BA from Hampden-Sydney College and a BS, Environmental Engineering degree from Mercer University’s School of Engineering. Mr. Bell also serves as general partner of the G.H. Bell Family, LLLP, which owns and operates several office and industrial facilities.

A dedicated business and community leader, Mr. Bell serves as a board member for the Georgia Chamber of Commerce, Savannah Chamber of Commerce, Bethesda Academy and Savannah Area Geographic Information System (SAGIS). Past commitments include serving in a board member capacity for Mercer University’s Board of Trustees, ACEC Georgia, Memorial Health Foundation, Savannah Music Festival, United Way of the Coastal Empire, The Oglethorpe Club (Past President) and The Century Club (Past President) among numerous other civic and community commitments. He is a member of Wade Hampton Golf Club, Secession Golf Club, The Landings Golf & Athletic Club, a graduate of Leadership Savannah and Leadership Georgia and was active for nearly 15 years in the Young President’s Organization (YPO). Mr. Bell also serves as an elected city council member of the historic Town of Vernonburg, Georgia. Most recently, Mr. Bell was named as one of Georgia’s 100 Most Influential Georgians by Georgia Trend in 2023 and 2024. He and his wife, Lisa, have three children and are members of Independent Presbyterian Church in Savannah.
