Jiangce Chen, Ph.D. specializes in computational design and digital manufacturing. He currently leads research on intelligent metamaterial design and advanced additive manufacturing systems. On the design side, he develops computational geometry algorithms for cross-system geometric representation, automated shape modification under additive manufacturing constraints, and multi-scale topology optimization enhanced by machine learning. He also builds uncertainty-aware generative models for intelligent metamaterial design. On the manufacturing side, Dr. Chen develops digital twin frameworks for metal additive manufacturing that enable real-time monitoring and prediction of part quality during fabrication.
