Fun Fact: I’m on the UGA competitive badminton team

Why did you choose UGA? As someone who grew up in Shanghai, a city infamous for its suffocating smog, air pollution has always been a problem close to my heart. My grandma has had several lung issues in the past few years, caused by the inhalation of low-quality air. I have always wondered how my ability and passion as an engineering student can contribute to the eradication of this environmental problem. When I was researching different colleges, I discovered that UGA has a well-established engineering program along with an excellent academic reputation and a vibrant student culture. Without hesitation, I immediately applied, knowing that UGA had all the qualities I was looking for. As a Bulldog engineer, I wish to use my ability and knowledge to provide my community and my family with a cleaner life, free from smog.

Favorite Memory as a Bulldog Engineer? My favorite memories as a Bulldog Engineer are the times when I hangout with my fellow engineering students outside of class. Sharing happy and tough experiences being an engineering students with friends helps me relief from all the stresses at school. I also love to hangout with my engineering friends at ramsey and dinning halls where I can build a more personal connection with them outside of school. UGA has provided me so much memories with life long friends and it is one of the best decisions I’ve ever made in my life.
