NSF CAREER Award Recipient

Mable Fok, a professor in the College of Engineering. Her research lab – Photonics and Soft Robotics Laboratory (WAVE Lab), aims to bring fiber optics and photonics techniques to inter-disciplinary areas. Her current research interest includes soft robotics, bio-inspired photonics, fiber optic sensing, and microwave photonics. She has published over 200 journal and international conference papers and hold 5 US patents. Her work has been funded by National Science foundation (NSF), Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA), and Oak Ridge Associated Universities. Dr. Fok is the recipient of the National Science Foundation CAREER award, University of Georgia Creative Research Medal, and Ralph E. Powe Junior Faculty Enhancement Award.
