Why did you choose UGA? UGA engineers build each other up while other universities felt like it was a constant competition. I could see myself finding a community where I felt comfortable asking for support from my classmates and professors. UGA also emphasizes communication and one of my professors once told me, “If you cannot successfully communicate your ideas to people, it doesn’t matter how intellectually capable you are”, which has stuck with me ever since. The in-state tuition also doesn’t hurt.
Favorite Memory as a Bulldog Engineer? My favorite memory as a Bulldog Engineer was when I was working on my final fluids project in a fishbowl with the classmates I had grown closer to all semester and our professor, Dr. Banu drove all the way to Driftmier from a conference in Atlanta at 10 pm at night to make sure we understood everything! This experience has helped me form groups of class friends that will hold me accountable through my academic career.
