Michael L. “Sully” Sullivan is the President & CEO of the American Council of Engineering Companies of Georgia (ACEC Georgia). Prior to joining ACEC Georgia in August 2012, Sully was an attorney and equity partner at Andersen, Tate & Carr, P.C., one of Metro Atlanta’s largest full-service law firms, where he headed up the Government Relations, Land Use & Zoning practice and represented clients in all types of government relations matters at both the state and local government levels.

Sully currently serves on the following statewide, regional and local boards: State Board of the Technical College System of Georgia (appointed by Governor Sonny Perdue in 2007; reappointed by Governor Nathan Deal in 2013 & 2018); Georgia Transportation Alliance (Chairman); Georgia Chamber of Commerce (Board of Governors, Board of Directors and Political Affairs Committee); Council for Quality Growth (Board of Directors); Gwinnett County Water & Sewer Authority (Chairman); and Brookwood Schools Foundation (Board of Trustees).

Sully was named a Georgia Super Lawyer ‘Rising Star’ by Law and Politics and Atlanta Magazine and has twice been named to James Magazine’s annual list of ‘Georgia Super Lawyers.’

Sully is a “Double Dawg,” having received his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Georgia School of Law, and earning his Bachelor of Arts degree in political science from the University of Georgia.

Sully and his wife, Rebecca, have two children: Grace and Nash. The Sullivans live in Gwinnett County and attend Grace Fellowship Church in Snellville.
