Dr. Pouria Fattahi is an Assistant Professor in the School of Chemical, Materials, and Biomedical Engineering at the University of Georgia. His research integrates tissue engineering, developmental biology, and environmental toxicology to uncover how harmful exposures such as inhaled toxic gases and endocrine disrupting chemicals affect human tissue development, injury, and repair using engineered three dimensional models.

Prior to joining UGA, Dr. Fattahi was a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Pennsylvania and Mayo Clinic, where he worked on advanced microengineered platforms and stem cell–derived models to study human development and disease.

His long-term goal is to build human-relevant models that bridge basic biology with translational research in toxicology and regenerative medicine.
