Why did you choose UGA? UGA welcomed with me with open arms since day 1. I moved from my home country, Venezuela, 5 years ago, so I’ve been through a lot of transitions in my life. From what I expected to be an overwhelming, chaotic transition, UGA Engineering and its people made that process much easier to handle. I’m honored to be a First-Gen at such a great institution, and I am excited to see what UGA keeps offering me!
Favorite Memory as a Bulldog Engineer? My favorite memory has to be my last year’s SHPE National Conference. It was my first time ever attending an event as such, and meeting other Hispanics in STEM across the nation was such an eye opening experience. It made me realize I’m not along in this journey, and that anyone is able to be successful in engineering!
