Dr. Prussia’s interdisciplinary research was designed to enhance post-harvest supply chains that deliver fresh fruits and vegetables for satisfying consumers while increasing the profits of growers and other businesses. He co-edited “Postharvest Handling: A Systems Approach” (4th edition published January 2022), conducted workshops encouraging interactions among supply chain business leaders, co-invented a nutcracker, a nondestructive firmness instrument, and a fruit weighing and grading system.
