This week, the University of Georgia College of Engineering celebrated the official dedication of a computer lab within the Driftmier Engineering Center by Savannah-based engineering firm Thomas & Hutton.
Founded in 1946, Thomas & Hutton is a privately held, employee-owned engineering consulting firm providing comprehensive solutions to complex engineering and design challenges to private and public clients throughout the Southeast.
A longtime supporter of the college, the firm dedicated the “Thomas & Hutton Systems Simulation Laboratory” to help prepare future University of Georgia engineers to think critically, solve problems, and create meaningful impact.
“We are grateful to Thomas & Hutton for their continued support of our students and college,” said Dean Alex Orso. “This gift will impact the lives of our students for generations to come.”
