A team of environmental engineering students from the University of Georgia College of Engineering recently placed third in the 2018 Emory Sustainability Case Competition.
Hosted by Emory University’s Goizueta Energy and Environment Group, the event is a multidisciplinary competition that brings students together to solve some of sustainability’s most thought-provoking issues. Each team has one week to design an innovative solution to a real-world challenge. This year’s challenge, which attracted 40 teams, was to design a plan that would allow Atlanta to reach its goal of 100% renewable energy usage by 2035.
