Among many awards and certificates awarded at at this year’s Embracing Diversity event on Oct. 20, four first-year students received the Black Alumni Scholarship. Jordan Howard, intended computer systems engineering major, was one of the four recognized as students “who exhibit dedication to racial equality through previous experiences, initiatives and creative endeavors in improving race relations in the community.”
