Welcome Week 2020

The UGA College of Engineering has scheduled a full calendar of virtual activities to welcome students to the new semester! You can check out the schedule below and you can find additional details on our web calendar. Please check your UGA email for Zoom links. In addition, each College of Engineering student will receive a Welcome Bag with materials to promote health and safety on campus. Welcome Bags will be available for pick-up throughout the Driftmier Engineering Center until Friday, Aug. 28. Limit one per student.

We are personalizing the networking experience by connecting you with mentors that are just right for your commitment. Getting started is easy. Want to connect with other students who share your interests? The College of Engineering is home to more than 20 different student organizations that help members build teamwork and leadership skills, foster a diverse community, provide cultural support and give students the opportunity to pursue something they're passionate about. Each of our student organizations will be available to speak with interested students during this time! A document will be shared with Zoom links to each student organization’s room the day of the fair. Not sure where to go? Experiential learning involves learning through doing, but more importantly “learning through reflection on doing” and can involve an array of hands-on activities and experiences.

Research 101, CURO @UGA

12:30 p.m. - 1:30 p.m.

CURO’s purpose is simple: to facilitate sustained, progressive, faculty mentored undergraduate research in any discipline. Through CURO, undergraduates can pursue faculty mentored research regardless of discipline, major or GPA as early as their first year. Learn more about research for engineers from a CURO representative!
