The UGA Application Process

All undergraduate applications to the University of Georgia are handled by the Office of Undergraduate Admissions. Visit their website for detailed information on the application process for first-year students and for transfer students. On your application, you can specify one of our eight undergraduate majors in engineering.

UGA College of Engineering Requirements + Procedures

Once admitted to UGA, students must meet certain standards to apply to high-demand majors in the UGA College of Engineering. Beginning in fall semester 2016, applicants will be selected based on their grades in general education and major specific courses along with information submitted in a personal statement of purpose. (This requirement does not apply to students already enrolled in a UGA College of Engineering degree program as of spring semester 2016.)
