Join us for a summer research experience at the University of Georgia, working alongside faculty in the School of Environmental, Civil, Agricultural, and Mechanical Engineering (ECAM). The SUROE program is designed to provide immersive, impactful research experiences for engineering students—especially from regional universities (R1s, PUIs, etc.) across the Southeast.
What you’ll do:
- Collaborate with UGA faculty on active engineering research projects
- Work towards contributing to publishable results
- Engage in an 8-10 week paid research experience in Athens, GA
Application Process:
- Identify 3 ECAM faculty you would like to work with
- Write a short (1-2 paragraph) statement of research interest describing why you would like to work with the faculty identified
Support & Stipends:
- $6,000 stipend for each participant
- Up to 5–7 total students selected
