Students transferring to the University may be eligible to apply through the College of Engineering’s Application for Engineering Standing process prior to enrolling at UGA. To be eligible, REP students must have been admitted to the University and completed or be completing the required General Education courses as well as the Major Specific courses in the term in which they submit their application. It is important to note that REP students are not automatically admitted to the University or engineering standing; the College of Engineering does not control the initial admissions process. Students must still apply for engineering standing once admitted to UGA and eligible, and this process is no different from the transfer process for any transfer student interested in engineering.

After a student has been admitted to UGA as a transfer student, they must complete the college’s entrance requirements process to be fully admitted to an engineering major. Visit our undergraduate admissions web page for more details about the entrance requirements process.
